第一封情书

Dear Karen,

If you’re reading this, it means I actually worked up the courage to mail it, so good for me. You don’t know me very well, but if you get me started I have a tendency to go on and on about how hard the writing is for me. But this, this is the hardest thing I ever had to write. There is no easy way to say this so I’ll just say it, I met someone. It was an accident, I wasn’t looking for it, I wasn’t on the make it was a perfect storm, she said one thing, I said another and the next thing I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life in the middle of that conversation.

Now there’s this feeling in my gut that she might be the one. She’s completely nuts in a way that makes me smile, highly neurotic, a great deal of maintenance required. She is you Karen. That’s the good news.

The bad news is that I don’t know how to be with you right now, and that scares the shit out of me. Because if I am not with you right now I have this feeling we’ll get lost out there. It’s a big bad world full or twist and turns and people have a way of blinking and missing the moment. The moment that could of changed everything. I don’t know what’s going on with us and I can’t tell you why you should waste a leap of faith on the likes of me. But damn you smell good, like home and you make excellent coffee that’s got to count for something, right? Call me!

By the time you read this, you would be cruising somewhere over Madhya Pradesh and I would have already started missing you here...

I so wish I could be that person on 19B today, so you could look at me shyly every now and then, like the way you do at Costa's.....

Remembering our last week's conversation about habits (you know the 30 day rule - make or break a habit); it's now a fact that you have become my habit, a habit which won’t fade away even if the devil promises to whip a million lashes on my bum.

Speaking of bum and your bum rating habit (I know you rated me the lowest), but my bum has now been shot by the Cupid's arrow, injecting the most beautiful Drug called love.

They say, only two people can walk endlessly together; only because of the beautiful moments and memories they create while walking the path. I want to walk further, I want to create those moments with you.

I can take the first step only when you take yours now, which means we take it ahead together.

I am hereby extending my hand to walk along with you to an unknown journey called Life and create the most beautiful moments two people have ever imagined....

Though still in bed, my thoughts go out to you, my Immortal Beloved, now and then joyfully, then sadly, waiting to learn whether or not fate will hear us - I can live only wholly with you or not at all - Yes, I am resolved to wander so long away from you until I can fly to your arms and say that I am really at home with you, and can send my soul enwrapped in you into the land of spirits - Yes, unhappily it must be so - You will be the more contained since you know my fidelity to you. No one else can ever possess my heart - never - never - Oh God, why must one be parted from one whom one so loves.
