这首歌的原唱是流行音乐教父Micheal Jackson，收录于专辑《BAD》（1987），是《BAD》专辑在世界范围内发行的第4只单曲。这也是一首关爱世界的歌曲，但它的思想与迈克尔杰克逊其他此类歌曲Heal the world、We are the world不同。

这首歌呼唤的是，人人都要有自省的精神。这样才能互相帮助，世界才能更美好。
