歌曲故事背景梗概：

这首歌 1979 年蝉联六周冠军白金曲，成为70 年代 Disco 必备歌曲，法国世界杯足球队开赛歌选用此曲；此曲更是被滚石评为 100 首最伟大的作品之一。

歌曲原唱Gloria Gaynor (葛罗莉亚•盖罗)是一位黑人女孩，70年代已经被誉为迪斯科女王 。

葛罗莉亚的歌声非常适合这首歌曲，但当初这首歌的发行连公司也不看好，因为这是她大病初愈时的创作，1978 年 Gloria Gaynor 在欧洲登台时不小心跌落舞台，导致脊髓受损并卧病在床达九个月，加上复健期间母亲又去世，这许多的打击几乎让她崩溃。

康复后她努力振作，找来了两位制作人共同写下这首 "I Will Survive" 证明自己战胜了怯懦，后来这首 "I Will Survive" 的推出，便将Gloria Gaynor 推上事业的巅峰。
