A staple in the global trance scene since breaking through in 2007 with the heavily supported ‘Massive’, Maarten de Jong counts as one of trance music’s most prolific and consistent producers. Having released on labels such as Sander van Doorn’s Doorn Records (Beatport #1 hit ‘Mono’), Spinnin’ Records, Outburst Records, Black Hole Recordings and Paul van Dyk’s Vandit label before becoming a regular on Armin van Buuren’s Who’s Afraid Of 138?! Imprint (by 2018), the Dutchman grew known the world over for his authoritative, stadium-quivering blend of various genres, including techno, trance and house, with Armin van Buuren dubbing him as “one of the most original producers in the trance realm”. Championed by a list of triple-A artists that ranges from Blasterjaxx, Kryder, Sander van Doorn and Tiësto to Armin van Buuren, Sean Tyas and even some techno-minded tastemakers, Maarten de Jong remixed Corti Organ’s ‘The Joker’ to great effect, leading to other remix opportunities such as Armin van Buuren’s ‘Stickup’, Coast 2 Coast’s ‘Home’ (feat. Discovery) and Chakra’s ‘Love Shines Through’. In 2023, Maarten de Jong will continue to bring his sound to Who’s Afraid Of 138?! whilst also embarking on a new global tour.
