Duoscience, the moniker of Edu Ventura, is a Brazilian drum and bass producer from São Paulo, known for his smooth, soulful approach to production. Influenced by a rich tapestry of musical styles, including R&B, funk, soul, and gospel from the 1950s to the 1980s, Duoscience channels these inspirations into his distinctive liquid drum and bass sound. Since beginning his production career in 1997, Duoscience has released an impressive catalogue of tracks on renowned labels such as Liquid V, V Recordings, Fokuz Recordings, and Soul Deep. Notable works include Just The Way in collaboration with Marvel Cinema, a track praised for its jazzy, melodic textures and warm basslines. His versatility is further showcased in releases like the Reflects EP (2024), which captures his ability to blend emotive atmospheres with rolling beats. In addition to his solo projects, Duoscience has collaborated with prominent artists and co-founded Diskool Records in 2012 with Leandro Kolt. This platform has allowed him to nurture emerging talent while contributing to the growth of Brazil's drum and bass scene. His work has gained support from influential figures such as Bryan Gee, DJ Marky, and Random Movement, cementing his reputation internationally.
