New York City native, Tyler Morris, is a product of his environment.
Having attended Robert Moog’s alma mater in The Bronx, Morris developed a fascination with electronic music and production at a young age. After countless hot NYC summer days and frigid winter nights trapped inside, Morris adopted the name Westend, for the beloved side of the city that cultivated his musical upbringing. After a breakout 2018, then 24-year-old Westend got a taste of what it's like to be a must- watch artist on the US tech-house scene.
Knowing this momentum wouldn't last without hard work, Morris delved deeper into the tech-house scene and sharing his craft with the world. Much like the city that shaped him, Westend's work can be found at the cross-streets of driving basslines, quirky vocals, and crisp, methodical production.
After chart-topping releases like ‘Friend Zone’ and ‘Detonate’ on top labels including Dirtybird, Club Sweat, Box of Cats, Country Club Disco and IN/ ROTATION – Westend hustled himself an astounding 80 shows around the US [including Dirtybird Campout West and Elrow NYC to name a few]; continuing to plant seeds of interest wherever he went. Along with his originals, Morris has worked on remixes for some of today’s biggest artists including Alessia Cara, Lauv & Troye Sivan, Louis the Child and Joel Corry .With more shows, more music and more fun than he’s ever brought before – Westend is not a project you want to sleep on.
