A cold January evening in Wales sat alongside John Askew, while we work on AA Meeting material and flicking through Instagram, an advert pops up for what seems like a gothic style event, but the music very much electronic.

That was the initial thing that caught my attention, but then the music itself sunk in. Haunting vocal, very melancholic but almost trancey chord sequence and riff.

I then went on a bit of a dig to find out what music it was and found Palindrones, a duo in the gothic music scene doing really cool styles of electronic music and Anima, the track they used on the advert. It didnt take long for remix idea to be forming!

Fast forward a few months and Borderline is very happy to be bringing the Activa remix of Anima to you. Hopefully keeping the melancholic feel of the original but from a very different angle: In true Borderline style, with one eye on a more classic style of trance that the likes of Push used to bring.
