A night out in a smoke-filled bar. Flappers are dancing with fedora-wearing gentlemen. The Roaring Twenties shaped an aesthetic that implies a certain soundtrack. Inspired by the American bars where alcohol was consumed illegally during the Prohibition era Robert Narholz and Marcus Milius celebrate this period with their record "Speakeasy Jazz". Walking basslines, muted trumpet solos and swinging drumbeats take the listeners back to one of the most colorful times in history. Narholz and Milius fittingly recommend a drink for the party („Two Ounces of Gin“) and remind us why the twenties are also called "Jazz Age".
