Nashville-based singer, songwriter, artist, and producer Phillip LaRue pays homage to the beauty around him with eloquent lyricism, fragile instrumentation, and lush production. On his new album, Colors, he threads together broad strokes of melody accented by experimental nuances as he chronicles relationships with key individuals in his world such as his wife, grandmother, and sister. He brings these interactions to life across 13 tracks pulled straight from the heart and infused in the music.

He has consistently captivated listeners with a sense of nuanced perspective both as an artist and as a songwriter. He has cultivated a dynamic catalog highlighted by co-writing the platinum-certified #1 country smash “Whiskey in My Water” for Tyler Farr, the platinum-certified “Night Shift” for Jon Pardi, and Tenth Avenue North’s “By Your Side,” which received a Dove Award in the category of “Song of the Year.” Not to mention, he co-wrote and lent his voice to Ocula’s “Green Willow.” His music can be heard on shows like Virgin River, Grey’s Anatomy, Vampire Diaries, and Nashville, to name a few, as well as campaigns for Apple, Volkswagen, McDonald’s, and Dignity Health.
