resembleth water:与水相似。
from heaven it cometh, 自天而来，
to heaven it soareth. 回天而去。
and then again 又再一次

水之灵魂之歌

the soul of man 人类之灵，
resembleth water:与水相似。
from heaven it cometh, 自天而来，
to heaven it soareth. 回天而去。
and then again 又再一次
to earth descendeth, 降落于地，
changing ever. 周而复始。

down from the lofty从巍峨高山
rocky wall 高耸峭壁
streams the bright flood, 飞流汹涌直下，
then spreadeth gently 而后轻盈四散
in cloudy billows 似云般巨浪
o'er the smooth rock, 越过光滑岩石，
and welcomed kindly, 所到之处无不欢迎，
veiling, on roams it, 身披面纱，漫步其中
soft murmuring, 低声吟唱着，
tow'rd the abyss. 流向深渊。

cliffs projecting 悬崖突出
oppose its progress,-- 挡住去路
angrily foams it 愤然扬起泡沫
down to the bottom,一步不停地
step by step. 坠向深渊。
now, in flat channel,现在，在平缓的渠道。
through the meadowland steals it, 偷偷穿过草地
and in the polish'd lake 在明亮的湖面
each constellation 每一个水体
joyously peepeth. 欢快地团聚。

wind is the loving风向水儿求爱
wooer of waters; 含情脉脉
wind blends together 风与水儿交织
billows all-foaming. 巨浪泛起泡沫。

spirit of man, 人之精神啊，
thou art like unto water! 就像于水之侧
fortune of man, 人之运气啊
thou art like unto wind! 就像在风之旁。
