Rap and hiphop is popular with the kids. Country is really popular where I’m from though. But my genre of music is big band jazz and swing.

好吧，年轻人和喜欢饶舌和嘻哈音乐，乡村音乐在我 ( TJ ) 的家乡很流行。但是我比较中意的音乐类型是摇摆爵士。

Jazz isn’t very popular in China. What is it about Jazz that you like so much？

爵士乐在中国不是那么的流行，对于个人而言，那爵士乐是什么呢？

It’s about a guy that enjoys the simple things in life. That’s all jazz, baby, Love, a good book, and a strong drink.

它是一种生活方式。孩子，爱，一本好书，再加上一口烈酒，这就是爵士乐的全部。

I know about the billboard list. But what other lists are there? How do songs get chosen for these?

我们都知道公告牌，除此之外还有什么别的榜单吗？还有，他们是怎样选择歌曲的？

Well, a lot of time people are flipping through the radio stations, when a certain song comes on, a radio will receive a spike in listeners because so many people stop on that station. I imagine that’s how the songs are chosen for the billboard lists.

很多时候，当人们随意切换电台并且停留在某首歌时，如果其他人也像你一样，电台将收到激增的听众。我想这就是“公告牌”的歌曲的选择列表。
