今天我们要聊的是最近爆火的一部电影——《疯狂动物城2》。
01. Zootopia 2 is Back! 《疯狂动物城2》强势回归

👉🏻这里为什么用roar这个单词呢？
用roar这个单词是为了展现这次票房的气势，it’s really fitting the theme (契合主题) of an animal centered movie (以动物为中心的电影). 同时也有一种宣告Zootopia回归的意味。
据说这部电影在中国的票房已经突破了27亿人民币，成为今年中国票房最高的外国动画电影！It’s been 9 years since the first Zootopia movie, and fans have been waiting. 
《疯狂动物城2》的风格和第一部不太一样。人们讨论更多的是the new characters (新角色) and the dynamics (火花) between them.
主角Judy和Nick的partnership（搭档关系）也比想象中的更复杂了，而且Gary the snake is definitely a brand new character (崭新的角色)。他还是迪士尼历史上第一个以蛇为原型的主人公（first snake in the Disney history）。

02. Why is Zootopia So Popular? 《疯狂动物城》为什么这么受欢迎？
这部电影不仅好玩有趣，还有着非常巧妙的构思，更重要的是它真的传递了非常真挚的情感（full of heart）。
Zootopia=zoo+utopia
Zoo代表（stand for）“所有的动物”。Utopia（乌托邦）对所有动物来说是“一个理想的世界（an ideal world）”。所以zootopia其实就是“动物世界的乌托邦”。
但在外网，这部电影有一个新的名字：Zootropolis。They switched (转换) the utopia to metropolis.

Zootropolis这样的动物都市好像是将Judy和Nick从理想的乌托邦世界里带出来，zootropolis里充满了更多复杂的挑战和矛盾。
他们为the reptiles（爬行动物）扩大了版图（expand territories），and they also add a new character: a snake named Gary De’Snake! 
爬行动物居住的Swamp Market（湿地区域）也是本次的看点，而且电影里也有哺乳动物和爬行动物（mammals and reptiles）之间新的文化冲突。这展示出了电影延续的social metaphor（社会写照）。

第一部电影反映了predator（捕食者）和prey（猎物）间的现实张力（real-life stereotypes）。第二部则聚焦于inclusion (包容) and trust between very different species (不同物种).
同时，Judy和Nick自身的不同也被放大了。电影让很多人看到Judy和Nick在性格和价值观上的矛盾（conflicts and friction）are very raw yet real (非常赤裸裸又很真实)。

在这里用raw形容Judy和Nick之间矛盾的“赤裸裸”，让冲突更为生动。
03. Fun Details in the Movie 电影中的有趣细节
这次在电影里也有一些特别有趣的梗，it’s very classic Disney. They use other movie references (参考) and quoted (引用) on something. 同时还有很多迪士尼电影的精彩联动，像Tangled（《魔发奇缘》）还有Ratatouille（《料理鼠王》）。

例如疯狂飙车的闪电树懒就很经典（classic），hundred mile dash（百英里冲刺）和他慢吞吞的动作就很有反差萌。
除了经典的闪电树懒之外，Nick本身就非常witty（风趣、诙谐的），而且他自己的last name (姓) Wilde也是“充满野性的”——wild的谐音梗。这部电影还藏了好多宝藏小彩蛋（many gems hidden）等我们去发现。
这次《疯狂动物城2》的成功，是“机智玩梗+ 细腻情感 + 致敬经典”的完美结合。It’s a great reminder (提示) that stories still matter especially when they combine heart, humor, and some truth as well.
