网易云音乐的小伙伴Richard留言给我们说，哎呀，我都出门上班4天了，你们两个还在讨论在家办公。而且Ta还告诉我们，到公司的第一件事就是要用酒精洗手，还有带新口罩。

所以呢，今天翩翩老师和 Mary就要来和大家一起聊一聊，复工这件大事。

1.To resume work： 复工
复工怎么说呢？
* 复工：
resume work
Go back to work

* 去公司复工：

Go back to the office to work
Resume the work at the office

非常实用的表达：

在未来某一天复工：
* I go back to work on + 未来的日子

I go back to work on Friday. 我周五复工
该在某天复工：
* I’m supposed to go back to work on + 日期.
I’m supposed to go back to work on Friday.
我应该是周五复工（不确定）。

* I was supposed to go back to work on + 过去的日期.
I was supposed to go back to work on last Friday.
我本来是该上周五上班的。

* push back and push back: 往后推了又推

* I’m grateful for it. 我很感恩。（很多人对推迟上班是充满感恩的，是不是你也是？）

2.What’s the general attitude of people returning to work?
大家对复工的态度是怎样的？
How do you feel about it?
你感受如何？

对于employer（雇主）来说，要承担更多的责任，因为要：
take certain measures 采取措施
* ensure employee’s safety保证员工的安全
*sanitizer /'sænə,taɪzɚ/  消毒剂
wait for any update 等待更新 通知

一席目前是要求大家在家等update（新的通知），现在大家都在家办公，也很高效。

然后，节目中的笑场来了：
Mary想说：
as tired as I am of having such an unregulated schedule（虽然已经受够了目前这么不确定的时间表…），但是unregulated有点拗口，她说错两次，自己还嘟囔道： I actually know English.我真的懂英语的（可爱的美国女孩）。

* not willing to go back to work ：不想去上班

* It’s not worth the risk ：不值得冒险
* too risky ：太危险了

* hand sanitizers  /'sænə,taɪzɚ/  ：消毒洗手液
* play it by ear随机应变

He went into the office for training to do online classes 到公司去做线上教育的培训。
It ended up not doing anything 结果什么都没做

3.Is there a possibility to refuse going back into work?
可以拒绝去上班吗？
If you’ve gone back/are going back already, did you volunteer to go or do you feel like you don’t have a choice?
你是自愿去上班的吗？还是无可奈何？

*refuse going back into work：拒绝回去上班
*give back to society：回报社会
*Did you volunteer：你是自愿的吗？
*You don’t have a choice：没有别的选择（无可奈何）
*We were required to volunteer：被要求去做志愿
*community service：社区服务

Mary的高中，想要毕业，必须做一些公益的社会实践活动，好像这也是美国学校的一种主流文化哦。

但是，听起来很不错的“社区服务”，也会有 negative context（负面的含义），比如Mary的英国男朋友就会觉得：
