01. Chinese Trend of “I Am the Best Sheep” “我是最棒的小羊”
这段时间，中国比较火的一个梗叫“我是最棒的小羊！”。只是听到这句话，就已经感觉可爱值爆表了（sounds adorable）！它的英文翻译是：“I am the best sheep in the world!”
这句话出自国产动画片《喜羊羊与灰太狼》。主播Flora表示：“That was totally my childhood (童年回忆).” 
主播Maelle也分享道：“I totally remember watching it as a kid in China with the famous phrase “我一定会回来的！” at the end of every episode.”

Why is this phrase trending now?
其实，这句话最初是许多刚刚进入大学或职场的年轻人（workforce），在面对新环境时用来给自己加油打气的话（cheer themselves up）。That is such a wholesome and sweet way to encourage yourself!
Wholesome：在这里的意思是“积极向上、很正能量”。
It is a great word to explain this trend. 当你说出“I am the best sheep in the world”时，传递的就是这种“wholesome”的感觉。
02. Western Trend about Sheep 西方社交媒体中的“羊”
最近在TikTok上也有一个很火的“trend”，也和“羊”有关。That’s a trending sound and hashtag (话题标签): “The lioness does not concern herself with...”
这句话出自美剧《权力的游戏》（Game of Thrones），原句是：“A lion doesn’t concern himself with the opinions of sheep.” 这里“羊”就出现了，意思是“狮子不会在意羊群的看法”。
Concern oneself with... 意思是“为……费心”。
那么“doesn’t concern himself with...”就是“不会为那些事费心”了。It really does take a strong mindset (真的需要强大的精神内核)!

The idea is that if you’re strong and confident - like a lion or lioness - you don’t need to care about judgmental (评头论足的) or negative (负面的) people around you.
在这里“sheep”指的是“people who lack individuality (缺乏个性) and just follow the crowd (随大流)”。Actually, in western internet culture, there’s a word “Sheeple”.
Sheeple = Sheep + People. It means people who just follow others blindly (盲目跟随别人) without thinking for themselves (没有自己的思考).
所以当有人用了这个“quote”，意思就是：“I stand strong in who I am (我坚持做自己). I don’t listen to the noise.”
