Alternative/singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jon Bryant, releases his latest single "I Shall Not Fear." "Fear is the most powerful motivator. When it sinks it’s teeth in, we react, run, hide collapse into ourselves," says Jon Bryant. "Our foundation crumbles and beliefs are left with a bitter taste of ambivalence. It leaves a lasting effect. It’s always there, over our shoulder, pleading, dividing, telling us what to do. And certainly what not to do. But fear is simply an idea, a thought that runs a muck in our mind. It’s our imagination responding to all the possibilities that could happen “one day”. Sometimes it works in our favour. Sometimes it’s like a leech on a wound and saves our lives. Other times, when left unkept, it forms a vicious cycle of cynicism, isolation and regret...fear begets fear begets fear. The song represents my fears. And I have some weird ones. I reason with them every day."
