This time Polished Chrome put himself in front of the vocal mic to deliver his message. "When I sat down to write this song, I knew from the beginning what I wanted it to sound like. I wrote the lyrics along with the melody and the choice of sounds. I had a picture in my head, a feeling of how the song should be. As if the finished song was already there and just needed to be uncovered from all the variety of possibilities," says Polished Chrome. The lyrics are about what happens every day. Es war an der Zeit, die Genre-Grenzen aufzubrechen. Obwohl der Polished Chrome Sound schon immer eigenständig war und sich stetig weiterentwickelt hat, ist es diesmal doch etwas Besonderes. Die letzten Songs „Too Slow“, „Thank You“ und „Wasting“ besaßen bereits viele Vocals von Gastsängern und Gastsängerinnen. Ich schrieb den Text zusammen mit der Melodie und der Auswahl der Sounds. Ich hatte ein Bild im Kopf, ein Gefühl, wie der Song sein sollte. Als ob der fertige Song schon da wäre und nur noch aus der ganzen Vielfalt an Möglichkeiten freigelegt werden müsste“, sagt Polished Chrome. Der Text handelt von dem, was täglich passiert. Im Kleinen wie im Großen. Sich bewusst zu machen, was wirklich wichtig ist. Gleichzeitig will Polished Chrome sich diese Erkenntnis selbst vor Augen halten, um sie auch als solche wahrzunehmen. In wenigen Worten vermittelt er Tiefe und Bedeutsamkeit, spielt mit Redewendungen, bricht sie auf, um sie in neuem Sinn wieder zusammenzusetzen. „Gefühle“ ist eine Reise in neues Gewässer - musikalisch und textlich.
