这时，神奇的洋娃娃开口说话了：
“Take some bread for Baba Yaga’s dog,” said the doll. “And some ham for Baba Yaga’s cat. Do not fear. I will protect you.”
“给Baba Yaga的狗带一些面包。然后给她的猫准备一些火腿。不要害怕，我会保护你的。”
听完之后，Tasha鼓起了勇气。
Tasha packed the ham and bread. Then she set out through the deep, dark forest.
Tasha打包好ham火腿和bread面包，然后出发了。她穿过幽深黑暗的森林，一直往前走。
Soon, a wild wind began to blow. The trees creaked. Their branches groaned.
忽然间，狂风大作，树木嘎吱作响，枝叶发出痛苦的呻吟。
Tasha looked up……and saw Baba Yaga zooming through the forest in a flying pot.
Tasha抬起头，看见巫婆Baba Yaga正坐着飞行陶罐穿过森林。
Pot意思是陶罐。
She pushed herself along with a wooden spoon. And wiped away her tracks with a long, wooden broom.
巫婆飞行的样子真奇怪，她用一柄wooden spoon木勺推着自己前进，还用一把长长的wooden
broom木扫帚清扫她留下的痕迹。
Track，意思是痕迹，足迹。
Tasha followed her to a strange little hut.
Tasha就这样一路跟着她来到一个陌生的小屋前面。
这是一间魔法小屋。
It twirled around on chicken’s legs……and winked at Tasha with its window-like eyes.
屋子下面长了两条chicken’s legs鸡腿，不停地旋转；窗户像一双眼睛一样，一直对着Tasha眨眼。
Baba Yaga stood in front of her hut and sang. “Magic hut, magic hut, turn around, bend your legs and touch the ground.”
Baba Yaga站在她的小屋前唱道：“魔法小屋，魔法小屋，请你转个身，弯下腿，放到地面上。”
魔法小屋怎么回答的呢？
The magic hut spun around on its bony legs and replied, “I can dance, I can see a little girl, in front of me.”
魔法小屋一边在它骨瘦如柴的腿上旋转，一边回答说：“我能跳舞，我还能看见一个小女孩站在我面前。”
这下，巫婆发现了Tasha。巫婆兴奋地说：
“A-ha!” said Baba Yaga. “What have we here?”
“快看看是谁在这儿呀？”
Tasha非常害怕，她结结巴巴地说：
“P-p-please,” said Tasha. “My stepmother sent me for a needle and thread.”
“打、打扰了。我的继母让我来向您要一些针和线。”
Baba Yaga smiled a dreadful smile. Her mouth was full of iron teeth.
Baba Yaga露出了可怕的笑容，Tasha看见，她的嘴里全是铁牙。
Her hair was greasy. Her hands were warty. Her nose reached down to her chin.
她的头发很油腻，手上长满了疣子。长长的鼻子都要垂到下巴上了。
“I can help you,” croaked Baba Yaga. “But first you must sweep my hut.”
Baba Yaga哑着嗓子说：“我可以帮你。但是首先你得把我的小屋打扫干净。”
说完，巫婆就把Tasha关进了小屋里。然后，
Baba Yaga called for her maid.
她叫来了女仆，吩咐她说：
“Make me a nice big fire,” she said. “I’m going to eat that little girl for lunch!”
“给我生一堆很旺的火。我要把那个小女孩当午饭吃！”
Inside the hut, Tasha began to sob.
小屋里，Tasha害怕地哭了。
“I don’t want to be eaten,” she cried.
她呜咽着说：“我不想被吃掉。”
