Josh 和他的小狗Kip被困在了一个小岛上，你看：
Josh and Kip are on the shore. They watch the tide come in.
Josh 和Kip 坐在海岸边。他们看着潮水越涨越高。tide潮汐，潮汐是tide
They’re stranded on an island.
是啊，他们被困在了小岛上。Island是岛屿的意思。
他们已经好几天没有吃东西了，实在是太饿了。
Josh is sad and he is thin.
Josh很难过而且他看起来很瘦。
怎么样才能离开这个小岛呢？在这样下去他们会饿死的。
There’s something lying in the sand.
突然，他发现有什么东西躺在沙子里。Sand沙子，沙子是sand.
Josh calls out to his pup. “Is that a big fat fish, Kip?” “Be quick then, dig it up!”
Josh 呼唤他的小狗。 “Kip，那是一条大肥鱼吗？快，把它挖出来！”
They hope it will be good to eat.
