  Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, which is also named Piano Sonata No.14, earned its title from a poet who imagined the moonlight on Lake Lucerne upon hearing the first movement of this song. Composed in 1801, this sonata strikes a chord with people around the world through its emotional storytelling. The three movements create a journey that reflects Beethoven’s mentality. The first movement opens like a peaceful lake under moonlight. The second movement offers a momentary relief by a brief, brisk allegretto.
