在这里，你可以见到属极危（CR）的国家一级保护动物，白鹤，还有属濒危（EN）的国家一级保护野生动物东方白鹳，以及白头鹤、白枕鹤等珍稀鸟类。
作为中国最大的淡水湖，被誉为“候鸟天堂”的鄱阳湖是全球98%的白鹤种群的越冬地。在上饶余干白鹤洲，于鄱阳湖东岸处，每年12月到次年2月，都有约4000只白鹤来此过冬。白鹤头顶和脸裸露无羽、鲜红色，通体白色，仅翅端为黑色，站立时不可见。白鹤在中国文化中占一席之地，象征吉祥长寿，洁白一身体现白鹤纯真之雅，也代表着吉祥如意。
东方白鹳是少见旅鸟，分布在朝鲜、韩国的东方白鹳繁殖种群已经灭绝。而鄱阳湖，也是东方白鹳的最大的越冬地。东方白鹳有着长而粗壮的黑色的嘴，眼睛周围、眼线和喉部的裸露皮肤都是朱红色，靠近翅膀根部的羽毛为白色，外侧为黑色，腿、脚甚长，为鲜红色。东方白鹳在中国传统文化中也同样象征着吉祥和长寿。
如果你想观鸟，那么冬天的鄱阳湖自然是上佳之选。随着全球各处鸟类栖息地的减少，鸟类的数目也急剧减少。近三十年鄱阳湖湿地面积减少40%，大大威胁了候鸟生存，我呼吁大家参与公益项目保护珍稀的鸟类栖息地，为维持全球生态平衡做出自己的一份力。谢谢聆听，再见。
 
 
Birdwatching Paradise—Poyang Lake
 
As winter arrives, migratory birds fly south, and Jiangxi’s Poyang Lake becomes a paradise for hundreds of thousands of waterbirds to overwinter. 
 
Here, you can encounter critically endangered (CR) national first-class protected animals like the Siberian Crane, as well as endangered (EN) species such as the Oriental Stork, Hooded Crane, and White-naped Crane. 
 
As China’s largest freshwater lake, Poyang Lake—known as the "Migratory Bird Paradise"—is the overwintering ground for 98% of the global Siberian Crane population. At the White Crane Reserve in Yugan, on the eastern shore of Poyang Lake, approximately 4,000 Siberian Cranes arrive from December to February. These cranes have bare red skin on their heads and faces, snow-white bodies, and black-tipped wings. In Chinese culture, the Siberian Crane symbolizes auspiciousness and longevity, its pure white plumage embodying elegance and good fortune. 
 
The Oriental Stork, a rare migratory bird, has seen its breeding populations in North and South Korea go extinct. Poyang Lake now serves as its largest overwintering site. This stork features a long, thick black beak, red skin around its eyes and throat, white feathers near the wing base, black outer wings, and strikingly long red legs. Like the crane, it represents longevity and prosperity in traditional Chinese culture. 
 
For birdwatching, winter is the ideal time to visit Poyang Lake. However, with global habitat loss, bird populations are declining rapidly. Over the past 30 years, Poyang Lake’s wetland area has shrunk by 40%, severely threatening migratory birds.
