A QUICK WORD:
In case you didn't know, this song used to be a bit of a running joke in my community.
Reason is, I kept saying that I would finish and release it soon, but I never did.
Funny enough, one of my oldest posts ever is a teaser I made to hype people up for the release:

Somewhere along the way, I guess me and the song drifted apart a little.
It's very hard to make a battle theme for yourself, because you'll expect so much from it.
You want to create something that represents yourself, all while fitting a format and sounding epic.

On numerous occasions, in the period of 2018-2020, I tried to pick it back up and finish it FOR REAL.
While writing this description, I managed to find 38 different FL Studio project files related to the song.
Even still, I never managed to get the song out.

At the time, I guess I didn't feel like I had the skills necessary to create the song I truly wanted.
But listening back to all my old demos, I just felt inspired by my own ambition.
Little Flames wanted that song to exist so bad. He just got in his own way.

This time, six years later, I picked up the song with a new outlook on things.
I wanted to finish it as an homage to my previous self, paying tribute to my old composition style.
For that reason, I decided to keep EVERY SINGLE NOTE exactly as it were six years ago.

Among other things, I had to sit down and learn a guitar solo I wrote six years ago. That was wild. It's also my first Undertale track in a while, and I'm pretty sure 'Megalos' aren't as cool as they were in 2017.
Although haters will say it's just progressive metal disguised as a megalo (which it is)

I guess the moral of the story is... if you're struggling to finish something, relax.
Sometimes we need breaks, and to distance ourselves even from things we like.
But in the end, If you want it enough, it'll happen. Even if it takes six years.
