Lemme just say: this was a *pain in the ass* in several aspects. The MIDI was defo a good starting point, but I had to do extensive editing to several aspects of this track to get them sounding right (and I even needed to transcribe a couple smaller things *from scratch.*) All the effort put into this was well worth it tho, am incredibly happy with how this turned out! Learned a LOT of lessons from all of the times I updated PUPPETMASTER's mix, to say the least X'D
The goal with this cover was to preserve the sort of Battle Against A True Hero/BIG SHOT hybrid style that utgdumpsterfire was going for, while adjusting it a wee bit and throwing some Rude Buster instrumentation into the mix. Defo managed to pull it off, more or less! Along with editing The Joker's vocals further to suit certain things I had in mind, I also recorded some entirely new vocals for the World Revolving/"Mike" section based on the lyrics to Don't Forget.
