B: And this is Robert. The TV series Game of Thrones went viral online recently. Did you watch it?

A: Oh, I heard about it. People say it started off as the greatest series of all time, but had the worst ending of all time as well.

B: That's correct! I felt so annoyed of the latest season.

A: Calm down. Take a break and let me show you the game of thrones between animals.

B: Really? You got my attention!

A: It's a 2018 British nature documentary series called Dynasties, produced by the BBC Natural History Unit and narrated by David Attenborough. It's on five vulnerable or endangered species known to form enduring populations: chimpanzee, emperor penguin, lion, tiger and African wild dog.

B: Five extraordinary animals, each in a heroic struggle against rivals and against the forces of nature, are fighting for their own survival and for the future of their dynasties. Truly an emotional journey, with the superb cinematography, editing, directing, music and the soothing voice of the legend himself David Attenborough.

A: Traveling from the plains of Africa to the jungles of India, from the edge of the Sahara to the frozen wastes of Antarctica, we join each family at a crucial moment in their lives.

B: The family is one of the most powerful forces in nature. Family life is full of wonder, beauty, and drama. Let’s read their stories and follow their fortunes from the documentary.

A: Senegal, West Africa, home to a remarkable troop of chimpanzees. This territory is ruled by one strong and determined leader. An Alpha male known as David. His rule gets him the best of everything.

B: But he can trust no one. He is surrounded by rivals prepared to kill him for his crown. As leader David has to always be alert and showing his power to the others in the group. This is a story of power, politics and the fight for survival.

A: The emperor penguin colony is the survivor. Thousands of emperors coming to the frozen bay. The new ice provides the safest place for them to breed. It will last 9 months before melting away next summer.

B: And they need every day of those nine months to raise the next generation of this great emperor dynasty. But to do so, they have to battle to survive the coldest and the cruellest winter on earth – and can only do so through teamwork.

A: Lions are the very image of majesty, and, indeed, of Africa itself. Their strength lies in the power of the pride, their tight-knit family. Lions have ruled the savannas for millennia. And yet, within the last twenty years or so, their numbers have fallen by almost half.

B: The very survival of this great dynasty is under threat. The family has been abandoned by all the adult males. Their future depends entirely on the strength and determination of one extraordinary leader. Perhaps the most powerful in the history of the Mrsh Pride. A lioness, known as Charm.

A: She must not only hunt around the clock to feed the pride’s young, but also defend them from marauding hyena clans, huge herds of buffalo, and even other lions. There’s nothing Charm won’t do to protect her pride.

B: In the heart of Africa live one of this great continent’s most extraordinary yet misunderstood animals. Painted wolves, once known as Cape Hunting Dogs, are one of the Africa’s most threatened predators.

A: Their packs require huge areas of territory in which to hunt. But today, because of human pressure, their world is shrinking fast and whereas neighbored could once live together in relative peace, today, there is intense rivalry between them.

B: When it comes to feeding their growing family, competition between mother and one of her daughters is boiling up. Threatening to not only shatter a long-established peace but to tear apart the whole family.

A: Tigeres are the largest, most powerful, and perhaps the most loved of all the big cats. Yet, over the past century, their numbers have declined by 95%. An experienced hunter, tigress Raj Bhera is a devoted mother to four young cubs – but, she has a troubled relationship with an older daughter Solo.

B: Solo is a dangerous rival and is looking to invade Raj Bhera’s territory. Raj Bhera must spend her time precariously balanced between hunting for her cubs, scent marking to keep her boundaries safe and nursing her small cubs.

A: Our planet is changing at an extraordinary rate and the habitats these animals live in are under increasing pressure, not least from the impact of humanity itself.

B: Just like Games of Thrones, Dynasties describes a game of survival. But not make up, it's a real natural world.
