It was a good star.

给我画个太阳，星星说。
于是画家就画了个太阳。
是一个很温暖的太阳。
Draw me a tree, said the sun.
And the artist drew a tree.
It was a lovely tree.
Draw me a woman and a man.
And the artist drew a handsome couple.
给我画棵树，太阳说。
于是画家就画了一棵树。
一棵美丽的树。
给我画一个女人和一个男人。
于是画家就画了一对特别帅的夫妻。
Draw us a house, said the couple.
And the artist drew a house.
It was a strong house.
Draw me a dog, said the house.
And the artist drew a dog.
It was a big dog.
给我们画座房子吧，这对夫妻说。
画家就画了一座房子，
一座结结实实的房子。
给我画只狗吧，房子说。
于是画家就画了一只狗。
一只大狗。
Draw me a cat, said the dog.
Draw me a bird, said the cat.
Draw me a butterfly, said the bird.

Draw me a flower, said the butterfly.
And the artist drew red and yellow
and blue and purple flowers.

于是画家画了一朵朵
红色，黄色，蓝色，紫色的花儿。
Draw us a cloud, said the flowers.
And the artist drew clouds heavy with rain.
给我们画朵云吧，花儿说。
画家就画了一朵朵云，
这些云都要下大雨呢。
Draw me the night, said the rainbow.
给我画一个夜晚吧，彩虹说。
And the artist drew a dark night.
于是画家就画了一个深深的黑夜。
Draw me the moon, said the night.

Draw me a star, said the moon.
Down, over, left, and right
Draw a star oh so bright.
给我画一个月亮，夜晚说。

向下，向上，向左，再向右。哇，真亮呀。
It was a good star.
Hold on to me
said the star to the artist.
好漂亮的星星。
抓住我，星星对画家说。
Then, together,
they traveled across the night sky.
然后，他们一起飞向了夜空。
