今天的故事叫做maisy goes to the city，小老鼠Maisy和小鳄鱼Charley要去另外一个城市拜访他们的好朋友Dotty，他们会遇到什么好玩的事情呢？和大熊一起来听听吧。

Maisy and Charleyhave come to visit Dotty for the weekend.
“Welcome to thecity!” Dotty calls.
She’s just movedhere.

The road outside isreally busy. Broom, vroom, BEEP!
What a lot oftraffic, and what giant buildings!
The streets arecrowded, so you have to walk quite slowly.
There are lots andLOTS of shops.
“Come and see thetoyshop,” Dotty says. “It’s huge!”
When the signal goesgreen, it’s safe to cross.

The store is full ofshoppers!
Charley likes theescalators. Maisy likes the lifts.
The toys arefabulous! Charley wants to buy them all.
Maisy sees one togive Dotty as a present.
She pays for it, but-oh, dear! Where are the others now?
“Are you lost?”Suddenly Maisy wishes she was safe at home.

Peacock makes anannouncement on the intercom.
“There you are, Maisy!” Dotty holds herfriend’s hand tightly.

Time to eat! Dottybrings them to a café in a square.
A busker plays music,and the friends share a pizza.
Afterwards they play.Even the park is busy in the city!

To get to Dotty’sflat, they need to take an underground train.
“Our stop’s on theblue line,” Dotty says.
It’s a squash in thecarriage. Hang on tight, everyone!

“It’s been a lovelyday!” says Charley.
“Thank you for havingus to stay,” says Maisy.

It’s nearly dark. Thestars are shining.
The city lights arebright and busy too.
They’ll go twinkle,twinkle, twinkle all night long.
