[12:16.46]One basic difference involves who is responsible for the business.
[12:22.04]Another involves how long the organization can stay in business.
[12:28.55]The simplest form of business is called an individual proprietorship.
[12:34.76]The proprietor owns all the property of the business and is responsible for it.
[12:41.03]This means the proprietor receives all the profits,
[12:46.07]but must also pay all the debts of the business.
[12:50.02]Also, any legal action against an individual proprietorship is taken against the owner.
[12:57.50]The law recognizes no difference between the owner and the business.
