AIG（American International Group:美国国际集团）is trying to prevent a new wave of backlash（强烈反应） over paying out bonuses（红利） to its top executives（经理）. The Washington Post（华盛顿邮报） reports the company has asked the Obama Administration to approve millions of dollars in promised bonuses. The payments（支付） are scheduled（计划） to go out next week.
