Google's driverless car（无人驾驶汽车） project was officially（正式地） launched（发布） in 2010. Since then it says its test vehicles（交通工具） have completed more than a million kilometers on public roads. They progressed（发展） from relatively（相对地） simple driving on the Californian freeway to more complicated（复杂的） maneuvering（移动） in urban（郊区） areas. So far, Google has used a fleet（车队）of ordinary cars which have been converted（改装） to carry self-driving technology.
