[12:11.32]The International Student Exchange Program, or ISEP, was started in 1979.
[12:19.83]ISEP is a group of colleges and universities around the world.
[12:25.55]They cooperate to provide international educational experiences for their students.
[12:32.09]Students can study for up to one year in the United States
[12:36.81]or any of the other countries involved.
[12:39.65]They do not have to go through the usual application process to get into a school.
[12:45.33]And they pay only what they would have to pay for a term at their own school at home.
[12:50.92]To take part in the ISEP program,
[12:54.64]students must attend a member college or university.
[12:58.85]Each school has an ISEP coordinator,
[13:02.80]who helps students apply to the ISEP office in Washington, D.C.
[13:07.50]To be accepted, students must have good grades.
[13:11.80]They are asked to list up to ten choices of American schools they would like to attend.
