The North didn't raise you from the dead.
The Lord of Light never spoke to me. I don't know anything about him. I don't know what he want from me.
He wants you alive.

That's all anyone can tell me..."I don't know." So, what's the point in serving a god if none of us knows what he wants?
I think about that all the time. I don't think it's our propose to understand. Except one thing...we are soldiers. We have to know what we are fighting for. I'm not fighting so some man or woman I barely know can sit on a throne made of swords.
So, what are you fighting for?
Life. Death is the enemy. The first enemy and the last.
But we all die.
The enemy always wins. And we still need to fight him. That's all I know. You and I won't find much joy while we are here, but we can keep others alive. We can defend those who can't defend themselves.

Maybe we don't need to understand any more than that. Maybe that's enough.

我一直都在思考这个问题，我认为我们也不必追根求底，除了一件事...我们是战士。我们必须清楚为了什么而战，我战斗不是为了什么，我不认识的男男女女能坐上某张铁椅子。
那你是为了什么而战？
生命。死亡才是敌人，最初也是最后的敌人。
但我们最终都会死。
敌人一直都胜券在握手，但我们依然奋战如初，这就是我所知道的全部意义。在这里你我都不会有太多乐子，但我们能保卫生命，保护那些没能力保护自己的人。

也许我们不需要理解更多意义了，也许这就足够了。
