Before Friday Night Funkin', Mario Mix, and PS135, Misfire, formerly Fire Mario Fan, created a passion project: a self-insert of Undertale known as Undertale: Hacked. In this project, Misfire placed themselves in the role of Sans. Unlike many Undertale AUs that remain unfinished due to lacking motivation, Misfire was determined to keep the AU going. What followed was something that blossomed into more than just a self-indulgent self-insert; it became a story about abandonment, love, and morality hidden behind what initially appeared to be a nonsensical cast of characters. Many tracks were created for this AU. As expected, there was one track that would change and define everything: the Megalovania replacement for the AU, titled "PYROLUTION." This Megalovania is one of the most reworked songs not just in the AU's soundtrack, but also within the entire Undertale Soundcloud Community (UTSC). Composers from the UTSC, including Saster, flufffybuns, and even myself, worked on this AU's Megalovania. Times have changed, and we have moved on from the UTSC. However, today is Misfire's birthday, and I wanted to treat her with something nostalgic. With a beautiful illustration by SleepyGhosty, I present my take on a well-known classic: PYROMANIA!
