[The lightners make it to the back of the house. Instead of a typical porch, it's a stage surrounded by empty seats.]

SUSIE: ... Okay, what kind of house is this?
RALSEI: Kris, is this why you brought us here? Did you know about this--

[Interrupting Ralsei's dialogue, the stage lights come on and the Flowery's World theme song starts playing loudly. It startles them, but not Kris.]

FLOWERY: GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE! WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY IT IS! WOULDN'T YOU AGREE?

[Flowery turns to the empty seats and holds out the microphone to them. Susie turns to the seats to double check. Empty.]

SUSIE: Nobody's--

[Canned applause of children.]

FLOWERY: HEE HEE HEE! YES!
FLOWERY: Such a wonderful day.
FLOWERY: AND WE HAVE SPECIAL GUESTS! EVERYONE GIVE A WARM WELCOME THESE THREE HERE.

[Silence.]

SUSIE: Who the hell are you talking to?

[Flowery takes a stomp towards Susie. His face contorts unnaturally in restraint.]
FLOWERY: SUSIE.

[A moment of awkward silence.]

FLOWERY: ... NOW, THERE'S NO NEED FOR THAT KIND OF LANGUAGE.
FLOWERY: AFTER ALL, WE'RE FRIENDS HERE. AND BECAUSE WE'RE ALL FRIENDS...
FLOWERY: ... I HAVE A VERY SPECIAL MESSAGE TO GIVE TO YOU ALL!
FLOWERY: ONE THAT OUR BEST FRIEND KRIS KNOWS VERY WELL.

[Flowery moves up to Kris and holds out the microphone.]

FLOWERY: SO, KRIS. TELL OUR FRIENDS HERE THE GOOD NEWS.

[Another silence.]

FLOWERY: COME ON, KRIS! DON'T BE SHY!
FLOWERY: TELL THEM.
RALSEI: Y-you shouldn't pressure Kris like that! They're--
[Flowery's whips around to face Ralsei.]
FLOWERY: IT'S NOT YOUR TURN.

FLOWERY: ... Hee hee hee, come on, Kris, they're getting impatient out there...
[The sound of children giggling and mumbling rings throughout the empty seats.]
FLOWERY: N-NOW GIVE IT A SECOND, KIDS! KRIS HERE IS JUST SHY!
SUSIE: Well, they're DEFINITELY not gonna talk if you get up in their face like that.
FLOWERY: YOU--
[The sound of laughter. Flowery stomps on the floor in a brief flash of anger.]
FLOWERY: NO! NO, NO NO NO, IT'S NOT FUNNY! IT'S NOT FUNNY!!! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!
[Flowery suddenly closes in, inches away from Kris.]
FLOWERY: KRIS!!! TELL THEM!!! NOW!!!
[Susie slashes at Flowery, knocking him back.]

SUSIE: What the hell is your problem?!
[Flowery slowly gets up, giggling in an instinctive attempt to comfort himself.]
FLOWERY: ... HEE HEE HEE... AHEE HEE HEE HEE!!! OH, I WISH YOU COULD KNOW.
FLOWERY: HOW I'VE TRIED. How I've tried so hard...
FLOWERY: KRIS. DO US BOTH A FAVOR AND SPEAK UP!!! YOU KNOW WE CAN'T LIVE LIKE THIS...!
RALSEI: Stop scaring them!!! They're a lightner, you owe them your--
[Flowery raises his microphone and fires a few bullets at Ralsei. They hit.]

SUSIE: ... Alright. So that's how you wanna play, huh?
FLOWERY: OF COURSE IT IS. IT'S THE ONLY CHANCE I HAVE.
