介绍: 提示:推特(Tweeter)上发文叫”tweet”或”tweeting”,微信发朋友圈也可以叫tweet/post,奥巴马大神最近参加一电视访谈节目,聊聊他对于tweeting的看法,搞笑的是他读出人们吐槽他的留言tweet,记得回答问题哦!!P.s.:吐槽贴:mean tweet The economy may be troubled, but one area is thriving: social media. Welcome to Frank Mars Learning English, I’m Frank Mars.We are talking about social media today. Social media begin with Facebook and extend through a dizzying array of companies that barely existed five years ago: Twitter, LinkedIn, Groupon, Flickr— and the list goes on. These companies are mostly private but have attracted the interested attention of Wall Street and investors, with Facebook now worth $75 billion and Groupon valued at close to $25 billion. There can be little doubt that these companies enrich their founders as well as some investors. But do they actually better the economy? While jobs in social media are growing fast, there were only about 21,000 listings last spring, a tiny part of the 150 million-member U.S. workforce. So do social-media tools improve the market situation? Or are they simply social—entertaining to the society? Social media make communications easier, but not all consequences of this technology are good ones. Like the way it has allowed us to hide behind screens and limited our social interaction face to face. You get the feeling of being social without having to go out and socialize. Meanwhile, it gives you the feeling of being a friend (or having friends) without having to put in any actual work to build the relationship. Just think of how many people you have on your Wechat friends list. How many of them do you see every month? who could become the next Twitter or Facebook? The answers are important, because billions of dollars in investment capital are being spent on these companies, and if we are to have a productive future economy, that capital needs to grow the economic pie .Flash back nearly 20 years and the same question was being asked about the first Internet wave, will social media make any difference to new companies? As a result of these somewhat controversial innovations, the late 1990s became a period of substantial technology-driven gains. US.President Barack Obama recently talked about tweeting and read what people said about him: (interview)************************************************** Wechat, known as Weixin of its Chinese app name, is one of the fastest rising mobile app in China, with over 400 million users. The exchange of name cards has long been a popular part of meeting new people in China. But now it's increasingly likely to be going with the crazy growing of smartphones, as the participants add one another on WeChat, the hugely popular app made by the country's biggest Internet company, Tencent. While name cards have yet to be completely replaced, many now also have a QR code which, when scanned into a mobile phone, adds the card's bearer as a WeChat contact. Question today:Do you leave mean tweets on wechat? You are listening to Frank Mars Learning English, if you have any comments or ideas about our topic, you can let me know here or through wechat at :frankinchina, thank you. ..music................................................................. #Background music:Cathy Davey-In He Comes, Aimee Allen-La La Land #Edited by Frank Mars
