Biography

With such a distinctive voice and sound, it comes as no surprise that NICCO, a vocalist, songwriter, and electrifying performer, is making major strides forward in the music scene. NICCO was influenced by reggae music at the age of 10 when he spent his summers working in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands where his family lives. It was there where he became deeply influenced by Reggae.
NICCO honed in on his craft over the years and after studying at Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts, he moved to Queens New York where he was singing and performing Dancehall Reggae and Soca music in many of the well know Caribbean clubs in Brooklyn. He quickly grabbed the attention and respect of the Caribbean crowds with his unique voice, style and Energy.
In the past 10 years NICCO has used his reggae influences to fuse both his sweet vocals and rough chanting to pave new paths. Discovered through Myspace, NICCO’s vocals were brought over to the European Dance Electro scene. This new, unspoken for, artist caught his audience by surprise and gained an astounding reaction from his fans. NICCO continued to push forward with his amazing songwriting and vocals by teaming up with producers DARIUS & FINLAY. Leading songs “Do It All Night,” and “Destination” (released by Trakmusic) and “Rock To The Beat,” “Hold On,” “Till Morning” (released by Sony Germany) to top spots on the European Dance and Singles Charts. NICCO also worked with producer ROBERT M. for the song “Dancehall Track” that went ahead to receive a Gold Record 2010 in Poland. Also, DARIUS & FINLAY feat. NICCO received the FaMa Award in Poland for “Most Played Song of the Year 2009 ” for “Destination” and were Nominees of 3 Austrian Music Awards and Recipients of “Best Artist” 2010 and “Best New Comer” 2010. NICCO also received an award for “Best Vocalist” for 2010 at the FaMa awards in Poland. In May 2012 he collaborated with R.I.O. and released the Euro top 10 hit song R.I.O. feat NICCO “Party Shaker”. In the meantime, NICCO continues to travel back and forth to Europe, performing sold out shows with his high energy and captivating performances. The time is right, the time is now!
