最初的想法，唱片的名字是一首侗族童謠，叫做《留著來年來結果》，覺著寓意挺好。

再次混音和編輯之後，又覺得同樣是侗族的一首《搖籃曲》更合適，放到第一首也可以同時作為唱片的名稱。

反復思考之後，決定还是用《母語》作為唱片名。唱片里有节选的古歌，情歌，“悄悄话”，古老的古瓢琴以及童谣，所有的歌曲，都是用苗族和侗族当地的方言來歌唱，那是歌者们以母語口授耳聆，千载如一日，这语言里充滿着先人的智慧和历史的记忆，歌声里洋溢着歌者的生命力和民族的热情。以此命名，才具有最深切的寓意。

《母語》的錄製，非常純粹地從聲音的角度出發。 這裡面，包含了人類的情，大自然的交響，以及這片土地和空間自己發出的聲音。我们在采集制作的过程中秉承着尊重歌者和听者，而这听着不仅仅包括当下语境里的人，所以我们力图最大限度使用高精度的采样技术以及在后期里寻找捕捉更多那些当下空间里的信息。

其實不需要過多的解说与定義。所有这些只希望能够达成一个小小的目的，希望《母語》能夠讓時下生活在城市裡的母親們，可以同孩子們一起聆聽，感受我們曾經擁有的鄉土的氣息。

The original idea was that the name of the record was a Dong nursery rhyme called "Keep the Fruits for the Next Year", which I thought had a good meaning.

After mixing and editing again, I felt that a "Lullaby" also from the Dong ethnic group was more suitable. It could be placed as the first song and also be used as the title of the record.

After much thought, I decided to use "Mother Tongue" as the title of the album. The record contains excerpts of ancient songs, love songs, "whispers", ancient guqin and nursery rhymes. All the songs are sung in the local dialects of the Miao and Dong people. They are dictated by the singers in their mother tongue, and thousands of people listen to them. As time goes by, the language is filled with the wisdom of our ancestors and the memory of history, and the songs are filled with the vitality of the singers and the enthusiasm of the nation. Named after this, it has the deepest meaning.

The recording of "Mother Tongue" was purely from the perspective of sound. It contains human emotions, the symphony of nature, and the sounds made by the land and space itself. We uphold the respect for singers and listeners during the collection and production process, and this listening does not only include the people in the current context, so we strive to maximize the use of high-precision sampling technology and seek to capture more of those in the post-production process. Information in the current space.

In fact, there is no need for too much explanation and definition. All of this only hopes to achieve a small goal. I hope that "Mother Tongue" can allow mothers living in cities to listen to it with their children and feel the atmosphere of the country we once had.
